Wildfire alerts that may affect your travel insurance coverage

Wildfires can disrupt your travel plans and may affect your Travelex travel insurance coverage.

If a wildfire occurs after you purchase your policy and the event was not foreseeable when you bought it, your travel insurance plan may cover eligible losses.

However, once a wildfire becomes a foreseeable event, claims related to that wildfire are no longer eligible for coverage.

The wildfire alerts below show the date each event became foreseeable. To be eligible for coverage, you must have purchased your policy before that date.

Worried about wildfire smoke affecting your trip? Be sure to download our Travel On app. If a potential safety concern is detected near your location, we can send a wildfire notification to your phone. Just make sure your location is enabled before you go.
