If you choose to visit one of these countries on your Africa trip, we won’t offer coverage for any travel issues you experienced there.

 

When getting a quote, select “Africa” or the country where you’ll spend the most time for accurate coverage. For instance, if your primary destination is South Africa with shorter stops in Kenya and Ghana, list South Africa as your destination.

Can I get coverage for canceling my trip to Africa?

If something unexpected like an illness or natural disaster forces you to cancel your trip, our Ultimate, Advantage, and Essential plans include trip cancellation coverage for specific eligible reasons.

 

Want more financial protection in case fate has other plans? Our cancel for any reason* upgrade, available only with our Ultimate plan, gives you the option to cancel your trip up to two days before departure for any reason at all. With it, you can get reimbursed for up to 75% of your insured trip cost.

 

Here’s what you need to know to make this upgrade work for you. Purchase it within 21 days of your first trip payment and at least 31 days before your departure. You also need to insure the total cost of your prepaid, nonrefundable expenses, up to a maximum of $10,000 per person, to qualify.
