You can’t anticipate everything, and something may come up before your vacation that puts it at risk.

If you plan on stopping in several countries on your next trip, you should list your destination on your travel insurance policy as the location you will be spending the most time in. For instance, if you plan a vacation where you will visit Costa Rica for seven days and Nicaragua for three days, you should list Costa Rica as your destination.

You will still have coverage for the entirety of your trip, if you are not traveling to a sanctioned destination that Travelex does not offer coverage for.

If you have pre-existing medical condition(s), you may be concerned that they’ll cause you problems during your trip to Costa Rica. Travelex’s Travel insurance for Costa Rica may offer protection for pre-existing medical conditions if all the following requirements are met:

• You purchase the Travel Select plan within the “early purchase window,” which is the 15 days after your first trip payment;

• Everyone insured under the policy can medically travel at the point the policy is bought.
