If your trip is delayed, interrupted, or cancelled because of sickness, injury, death, inclement weather, pregnancy, or other covered reasons, Travel Select can provide coverage for incurred expenses. Additionally, with the Travel Select plan you also receive coverage for emergency medical and dental expenses, and medical evacuations.

Travel Select also provides primary coverage with no deductibles, as well as 24/7 access to travel assistance.

How is Travel Select different from other travel insurance plans?

Travel Select contains the same benefits as the Travel Basic plan - plus so much more.

In addition to covering the essentials, Travel Select provides comprehensive travel insurance to all children 17 and under when accompanied by a covered adult. The number of children is unlimited subject to maximum insured limits. Please list the accompanying child when enrolling. If the child’s trip cost exceeds the adult's trip cost, the child will be charged the corresponding plan cost.

Travel Select also offer travelers three "early purchase benefits" when the plan is purchased within 15 days of the initial trip payment, which includes coverage for:

  1. Business travelers who experience unforeseen cancellations or interruptions.
  2. Pre-existing medical condition waivers.
  3. Financial default.

Do I have to pay extra to ensure my children also receive travel protection?

As long as your children are 17 and under, traveling with a covered adult, and their trip cost is less than the adult trip cost, your kids will also receive travel protection coverage at no additional cost. The number of children is unlimited subject to maximum insured policy limits.

 

Please note: If you include any upgrade(s) in your policy, the child(ren) listed on your policy will be charged for the upgrade premium.

If I have an existing medical condition will it be covered by Travel Select?

Yes, coverage for pre-existing medical conditions is available if you purchase the Travel Select plan within 15 days of your initial trip payment. Additional requirements vary per plan.

I’m traveling internationally, will Travel Select cover my trip?

Travel Select is Travelex’s best travel insurance plan for traveling internationally because it features higher benefit amounts that may be needed abroad. With its variety of benefits and upgrades, it provides excellent coverage both stateside and abroad.
