Celebrating 25 years
Protecting travel dreams for the past 25 years, Travelex Insurance Services celebrates this milestone anniversary in November 2021. They have been honored to serve travelers and partners for a quarter-century with innovative travel plans and personalized service to explore the world safely.
Where it all began
Headquartered in Omaha, NE, Travelex Insurance Services was founded in 1996 when the Travelex Group purchased the travel insurance distribution services of Mutual of Omaha Companies. Shortly after, Travelex established itself as one of the top three travel insurance providers in the United States.
A new opportunity
In 2016, Travelex Insurance Services grew its global footprint by becoming a part of the Cover-More Group, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zurich Insurance Group. Cover-More is Australia’s largest travel insurance, medical assistance, and employee assistance provider. Cover-More has a leading market position in Australia and a growing presence in Europe, India, China, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, and the United States.
