Kids Included Pricing*

Travelex offers great value to traveling families on the Travel Select plan. Kids age 17 are included on trips under $10,000 and less than 30 days when accompanied by a covered adult. Number of children is unlimited, perfect for large family trips. Ask your travel professional for details.

Pre-existing Medical Conditions

Your pre-existing medical condition exclusion is waived when you purchase Travelex’s Travel Select plan within 15 days of initial trip payment, and the full trip cost is insured.

15 Day Review Period

If you are not completely satisfied within 15 days of purchasing a plan, Travelex will refund your premium cost, if you have not departed on your trip or filed a claim.

Does travel insurance cover the Coronavirus?

If you have first tested positive for the coronavirus while your coverage is in effect and have been diagnosed by a physician to be unfit for travel, you would be eligible for trip cancellation and interruption coverage. In addition, other coverages may also be applicable if positive test occurs during your trip.

I have health insurance, do I need medical coverage?

No one expects to have a medical emergency while traveling. And did you know most health insurance plans do not cover you when traveling outside the US? Having emergency medical & dental and emergency medical evacuation benefits helps ensure you receive quality care. Our medical professionals are available 24/7 to help you with advanced medical payments, guiding you to suitable medical facilities and providing nurse assisted transportation home when needed.

Am I covered when the tour operator files bankruptcy?

If you have booked your travel arrangements through a travel agency, financial default coverage could cover you for trip cancellation or interruption if you are unable to go on your trip. You must have purchased your protection plan within 15 days of your initial trip payment and the default occurs more than 14 days after effective date.

What if I have to work and can’t go on my trip?

If you are required to work, a merger takes place, or your company is deemed unsuitable for business and you are the key employee, having cancel for business reasons coverage allows you to cancel your trip and be reimbursed for unused, non-refundable trip expenses.

I have a scuba diving excursion planned, am I covered if something should happen?

Yes, scuba diving is a covered benefit on Travelex’s plans. Our Adventure Sports upgrade package covers you for participation in professional athletic events, mountain climbing, operating an aircraft and travel on air-supported devices such as hot air ballooning.

Are weather delays covered?

If your trip is delayed 5 hours or more, trip delay coverage allows you to be reimbursed for additional accommodations and meals if your departure is delayed due to inclement weather. The trip delay daily limit is a generous $250 per person!
